Installing Internet Explorer 7 on Linux
I am a steadfast Firefox user but there ARE sites which simply won't display properly except with the IE rendering engine. When I'm surfing in Windows I use the IE Tab Firefox extension in such instances but I haven't been aware of any solution for when I'm in my preferred environment, Kubuntu.
I should have looked harder. I found out via Slashdot, today, that there is a way to install Internet Explorer 7 on Linux.
The article describing the method refers to instructions for installing IE 6, 5.5 and 6 on various versions of Linux (which must have been around for a while).
I haven't tried any of this yet but I hope to get to it soon.
It all seems to rely on WINE (of course), which is something else I should get to know.
