Bev's Revenge
For years I have been taking photos of members of my family and posting them to flickr for all to see. Most of these are candid photos. I have caught everyone in strange expressions but most of all I have caught my wife contorting her face in any number of...interesting...ways. I have not resisted, nay, have requested, that similar numbers of pictures of me be taken and promised to post every one of them. There have been no takers, however.
Last month we bought a new camera, a Canon SD 600, as an early Christmas present. The idea was to have it in time for Ruth's performances in "The Taming of the Shrew" since, if I mastered it in time, it was supposed to take better pictures in low light. I was far from a master of the camera but the pictures came out satisfactorily, given the adverse conditions under which they were taken.
Bev, it turns out, is more comfortable taking pictures with this camera than she was with the other (providing I work out all the settings for her). As a consequence, at brunch last Sunday, she finally agreed take the camera from me and take a whole bunch of pictures. Several were of me and, lo and behold, she caught me in various candid poses. As promised, I have posted them all to flickr and, as a bonus, I feature a few here.
Looking at them I cannot help but think "WHO IS THIS GUY?"
